Early Access Adventurer Plan & Session View + Combat Tracker
Early Access Adventurer Plan
Prep n' Pray is still in early access, and we're excited to open up our first paid plan for GMs who want to take their sessions to the next level.
The Adventurer plan unlocks everything you need to run combat at the table:
- Session View -- manage your entire game session from one screen. Track party HP between encounters, load encounters on the fly, and add creatures mid-session.
- Combat Tracker -- auto-rolled NPC initiative, manual PC initiative entry, turn management, HP tracking, and creature visibility controls.
- Player Display -- share a single link with your players for the entire campaign. Real-time initiative order, health status, and turn tracking on any screen or TV.
- Unlimited Campaigns -- free accounts can have up to 3 campaigns. Adventurer removes the limit.
Early Access Pricing
The Adventurer plan is $5/month during early access (will most likely be $10/month in the future). You're getting in early, and your feedback directly shapes what we build next.
Everything in the free Explorer plan (encounter builder, treasure builder, creature library, cloud saves) stays free -- forever.
What's Next
We're actively working on the Hero plan, which will add image uploads, combat logs, creature media management, and more. Stay tuned.
Session View
A new Session View is available from each campaign page. This is your GM workspace during a playing session.
- Persistent party tracking -- your party members are always visible with their current HP, AC, perception, speed, and level.
- HP management between encounters -- damage and healing persist across combats.
- Load encounters on the fly -- pick an encounter from your campaign and its creatures appear in the session alongside your party.
- Add creatures mid-session -- search the creature library and add any creature to the session at any time.
- Dismiss creatures -- remove NPCs from the session when the party is done with them.
Combat Tracker
When you're ready to fight, click Prepare for Combat to enter the initiative setup phase.
- Auto-rolled NPC initiative -- monsters roll initiative automatically (d20 + perception), you can set those manually or reroll them.
- Manual PC initiative -- enter player rolls with Tab/Enter to quickly move through each creature.
- Begin Combat starts turn tracking once all initiatives are set.
- Turn management -- Next Turn, Previous Turn, Pause, Resume, Complete, or Abort.
- HP tracking -- type a number and hit Enter to apply damage, Shift+Enter to heal.
- Creature visibility -- hide creatures from the player display. Lock visibility to prevent auto-reveal.
- Click any creature row to open its full stat block.
Player Display
Share a single link with your players for the entire campaign. It updates in real time and persists across combats.
- During combat -- shows initiative order with health status, AC, speed, and initiative for PCs.
- Between combats -- shows party members with their current health status.
- NPC reveal timing -- in round 1, monsters only appear on the player display when their turn comes up.
- Responsive layout -- text and rows scale based on the number of creatures, designed to fill a TV or secondary monitor.
- Real-time sync -- HP changes, turn advances, and combat transitions appear instantly on the player display.
Encounters
- Combat status badges on encounter cards show if an encounter has an active combat.
- Combat count displayed per encounter on the encounters page.
- Re-run encounters -- completed encounters can be used again for new combats.
Bug fixes
- NPCs equipment now properly shows up on the Equipment tab of the stat block, with the proper info (bulk, value, type, traits)
